Support the work / Founding campaign 2026

Give Freedom and Creativity
room to grow.

We liberate creativity so people who want to be free can define freedom for themselves, their communities, and their world.

The founding campaign · November 23–December 31, 2026

Give the work
ground to build on.

Black women and girls free themselves. Through Creative Liberation Practice™, we bring a practice and an architecture for freeing creativity. The people who make a song, a school, or an institution learn how to sustain it and help it grow. What they create opens possibilities for Black peoples the world over to free themselves in turn.

This campaign begins with the cost of keeping the Foundation on solid ground. Your support sustains our operations, helps develop educational resources for the Seshet Juris-Consortium, and builds the founding reserve for the Power Reclamation Fund for Black women and girls.

What is ready now?

Gifts are welcome now. The public campaign runs November 23–December 31, 2026. The Power Reclamation Fund and the Seshet Juris-Consortium are in formation. This page does not announce open grant applications, participant enrollment, or legal representation.

What happens before the first Fund cohort?

TUAF first establishes its operating ground. The Fund’s reserve then needs to cover the first cohort’s full formation window before that cohort begins. We will report progress as milestones are reached.

What does membership include?

Ankh supporters receive the quarterly Uhuru letter and member convenings. Djed supporters also participate in the annual member circle advising Fund priorities. Torus supporters receive founders’ briefings twice a year; Seed of Life includes benefits for two.

How do I make a gift?

Choose a giving option above to continue to Stripe’s secure checkout. Monthly and annual options are recurring gifts; the Founding Circle and choose-your-amount gift are one-time payments.

With our thanks · The Uhuru Arts Foundation

Invite someone
to join you.

Thank you for standing with the Foundation. If someone came to mind, tell them what drew you here.

I just gave to The Uhuru Arts Foundation and thought of you.
I love that their work starts with what Black women and girls imagine for themselves.
Take a look. If it speaks to you too, I’d love for you to give with me.
