Ch, Ch, Ch, Changes!
Who Are We ?
We believe in the power of art:
to transform lives
to change whole cultures
to bring about a new world

20 YEARS...

...TO TODAY!!
A New Name, Same Mission:
Welcome to
The Uhuru Arts Foundation!
(Formerly Living Art, NFP | Est. 2005)

"Uhuru" means FREEDOM in Swahili—and that’s what we’ve always championed through art.
For 20 years, you’ve known us as Living Art NFP. Now, our name reflects our deeper commitment to liberating creativity, amplifying marginalized voices, and building community through the arts.

What’s Changing?
✅ New name, same mission: We’ll continue offering [list core programs, e.g., youth workshops, public murals, artist residencies].

✅ New look, same heart: Fresh logo, same dedication to accessibility and justice.

✅ New website coming soon! (Pardon our digital dust as we transition to uhuruartsfoundation.org.)
What’s NOT Changing?
🔹 Our 501(c)(3) status (tax IDs remain valid).
